Scott Samuels is the Founder and President of Horizon Hospitality Associates. With regional offices located from coast-to-coast, Horizon Hospitality is the most widely recognized and respected Executive Search & Consulting Firm for Restaurants, Hotels, Private Clubs and Convention & Visitors Bureaus.

Prior to beginning Horizon Hospitality Associates in 1998, Mr. Samuels held senior management and executive-level positions with hospitality industry leaders such as ClubCorp USA, Hilton Hotel Corporation, The Levy Restaurants and Dean & Deluca.  Mr. Samuels is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Stout where he obtained a Bachelor Degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management.  He also attended the University of Paris and the Culinary Institute of America. 

Mr. Samuels has conducted hundreds of recruiting and human resource workshops across the country.  He is a frequent speaker at numerous industry conferences including Club Managers Association of America, National Restaurant Association, International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association as well as numerous Colleges and Universities.  Mr. Samuels is a published author in many prominent hospitality industry trade publications and has been quoted numerous times in a variety of publications including The Wall Street Journal and Nations Restaurant News.

Mr. Samuels currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Missouri & Kansas Search and Staffing Association and serves on the Board of Directors of the University of Kansas Hillel.  He was the prior Board President and currently serves on the Advisory Board of Directors of the Dream Factory of Kansas City.  Mr. Samuels has been recognized by Ingram’s Magazine as one of the top 40 under 40 business executives in Kansas City.
